Australia’s education system ‘will not be the same on the otherside of the coronavirus crisis’

Head of Education 3P Learning Allan Dougan says the coronavirus pandemic will transform the way education is delivered to students. Speaking to Sky News on Saturday, Mr Dougan said teachers were facing fresh challenges amid the pandemic, and while it was difficult in the short term, he said “we’ll learn things, as teachers and educators that we probably wouldn’t have if we hadn’t have been faced with this challenge”. “We’ll learn new ways of delivering and engaging our young people,” he said. “When we get to the other side of this, I think we can be incredibly sure that education will not be the same. At the end of this we’ll have a whole host of learning that will allow us to improve. “The education system that we all know is probably quite industrial, traditional and I think as we journey through these challenges, we’ll be able to recalibrate what learning means and what teaching means , and I think we’ll see that we have much more capacity to deliver education in a variety of modes.”
